DV series from HAMM wins EuroTest Prize 2008

During the international exhibition of construction machinery Samoter 2008 in Verona (Italy), Hamm AG was awarded the EuroTest Prize 2008 for its DV 70 and DV 90 tandem rollers , the third international award won by these models in addition to the RedDot and iF Design Award. The jury was particularly impressed by the clear-view concept and innovative driving and steering system "HI Drive" ensuring that the roller operators always drive forwards.

With this new concept, Hamm has significantly improved the operators' working conditions and reduced the risk of operator errors. Overall, the jury came to the conclusion that the "exemplary concept" creates "outstanding ergonomic conditions" ensuring that the driver "has a clear view of all the necessary driving and working areas while remaining comfortably seated". Finally, the jury stressed that Hamm had implemented "outstanding improvements in ergonomics and occupational safety" with its DV series and set new standards.

The EuroTest Prize is awarded in honour of outstanding achievements by companies, organizations and individuals in the field of occupational safety and machine safety. The distinction is conferred every year by the employers' liability insurance association of the construction industry (BG Bau) and 11 other cooperating organizations in Europe.

During the Samoter 2008 exhibition, Prof. Manfred Bandmann, executive chairman of BG Bau, awarded the Prize to Marketing Manager Gottfried Beer and Hans-Peter Ackermann, head of new product development.(from left to right: Prof. Manfred Bandmann, Frank Seynsche, Udo Kiesewalter, Gottfried Beer, Hans-Peter Ackermann, Reinhold Hartdegen, Rainer Prestin and Mario Spinelli)
