10 HAMM single drum rollers produce a solid basis when building a new chinese expressway
On the 28th of May 2008 the groudbreaking ceremony for a new expressway connecting the cities of Yongzhou and Nanshan in the southern chinese Province of Hunan took place. The ceremony was accompanied by Zhou Qiang, Governor of Hunan Province, and many more other officials from politics and the industry.
The Guangdong Liantai Group Co., Ltd was awarded for building and operating this new BOT Expressway. Since many years, they rely on compaction equipment from HAMM and therefore will compact also the substructures of the new expressway with 10 of their Series 3000 single drum compactors. With an impressive machine park, comprising 25 HAMM single drum compactors and 2 VOGELE pavers, the company successfully built the Shao-yong expressway in the Province of Hunan. As they were very pleased with both the machine performance and the support of Wirtgen China, they chose HAMM equipment again for the soil compaction in this large project.
Ambitious plans: The government of Hunan has set the goal to massivly improve the infrastructure of the southern chinese province with today 65 million inhabitants until 2020. The 10 HAMM single drum compactors will take care for a solid basis.
