Prominent guest visits Hamm AG
Bavarian Prime Minister Beckstein pays a visit
On 10 March, the Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. Günther Beckstein visited Hamm AG in Tirschenreuth. During his two-hour visit, he toured the plant and gathered first-hand information on the latest expansion of production by this successful company.
Hamm's Technical Director Dr. Oliver Krill outlined the specific challenges and opportunities presented by the market for road construction machines to Bavaria's Prime Minister Dr. Günther Beckstein during their tour of the company site.
Dr. Oliver Krill, Technical Director of Hamm AG, showed his prominent guest around the plant and gave a short summary of the products and the company. Dr. Beckstein was clearly impressed by the roller manufacturer's dynamic development, as a result of which the company now ranks third in the world market thanks to its innovative strength and the consistently high quality of its products.
Above all, the Prime Minister was delighted to see that – contrary to the general trend towards shifting production abroad – 50 new jobs are being permanently created in Tirschenreuth through construction of the new roller drum factory.
Hamm AG is investing in the construction of a new factory hall for roller drums. Prime Minister Dr. Beckstein visited the building site for a personal first-hand impression of the progress made.
Getting the feel of a Hamm roller: in the production hall, Dr. Oliver Krill, Technical Director of Hamm AG, explained the special features of the award-winning series 3000 compactors to Bavaria's Prime Minister.
